Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Teams ready to converge on CQU for Relay for Life 

Thirty-four teams have signed on and many others have expressed an interest in the lead-up to the Relay for Life event due to be hosted at CQU Rockhampton athletics track on May 15-16.

Last year's CQU-hosted event featured 48 teams and raised more than $100,000.

CQU staff and students can gain information about RFL from the Queensland Cancer Fund stall at the Rockhampton Campus UniMart, from 11am on Wednesday, March 10 on the central grassed areas.
