Victorian State Director Associate Professor Ken Bruce presents Mir Arif Ali with his competition prize. CQU Melbourne International Campus students have voiced their suggestions for the 2008 social events calendar through a competition organised by Client Services and TECC (Training, Employment and Career Coaching).
The University wanted to increase student involvement on campus and sought student input into the organisation of activities for 2008.
The best suggestions were short listed and 3 winners were named last week.
Winners were Bachelor of Accounting student Mir Arif Ali, Bachelor of Business (Marketing) student Wei Hoon Chung and Bachelor of Accounting student Rachita Garg. The students each received a gift voucher for their efforts.
The winning suggestions included: ‘organise a quiz contest with 3 - 4 rounds and exciting prices for the winner'; 'organise dancing and singing classes'; learning a western dance would help students embrace the culture'; and ‘an excursion to attractions such as the Great Ocean Road, Philip Island or the Dandenong mountains'.
The first confirmed event for 2008 is a talent quest set for March 26, 2008.
