Rockhampton Girls' Grammar School student, Stephanie Trost, took home an iPod after entering a competition at CQU’s Open Day recently.
To enter, participants were required to attend 1 of the Open Day Lunchbox sessions organised by the Faculty of Business and Informatics.
Five Lunchbox sessions were held during the day to provide information to people from industry and prospective students.
The topics covered included: “The impact of generational change on the property profession”; “Where business can take you”; “Why accountants are worth their weight in gold”; “A dollar saving in procuring saves a dollar on the bottom line”; and “IT – never away, but so back".
The sessions attracted a large number of participants, who were informed about the various programs on offer, as well as the careers available in each area.
Many attendees were impressed with the subjects covered. Stephanie’s mother, Mrs Trost, told staff that after attending the Lunchbox sessions “if Stephanie decided to go to uni CQU would be her first choice".
