Central Queensland University's Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor recently hosted University supporters in Rockhampton, to discuss progress on a range of developments.

Updates included the organisational restructure, the trend towards cooperative (industry-relevant) education, the reinvigoration of courses, new research foci, and measures to attract additional international students to Rockhampton (as well as at other locations).

During the evening, Chancellor Rennie Fritschy and Vice-Chancellor Professor John Rickard spoke about having closer links with our communities and the formation of networks and initiatives to support the sustainable economic, social and cultural life of our region.

They welcomed ideas from those present about how to improve our University for the benefit of our community.

In summing up, Professor Rickard said: “We will continue to remain very committed to our region, and will not move from this strong commitment".

The community visitors gained a sneak-preview of CQU's latest TV campaigns featuring people who have changed their lives by attending preparatory programs with CQU.
