New student facilities open at Brisbane

It was time for celebration again at CQU Brisbane International Campus on August 12 when about 60 students and staff gathered in the Library to mark International Youth Day and to witness the official opening of new student facilities.

The celebration coincided with the visits to BIC of Professor Doc Sung Jang from Tongwon College, Korea and Vietnamese students Deiu Ming and Vu Anh.

This was a great occasion for them to meet and mingle with BIC students and staff.

Celebrations began with an ‘official’ opening speech by Campus Director Geoff Wessling, after which BIC student Reshani Wahalathanthri performed the symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony and declared the new facilities open.

Students and staff then enjoyed the morning tea provided.
