Showcase fruitful for all, just 'apples' for two

The Learning and Teaching Showcase held last month was a great success.  The theme "from Principles to Practice..." enabled staff across all disciplines and areas of the University to present examples of how they have embedded key educational principles into everyday practice.

The most popular session was "The Great Debate: Classroom-Based Learning is more Effective than Online Learning".  (Further discussions around this topic can be found at http://learningmatters-cquniversity.blogspot.com/).

While everyone who attended the Showcase was a winner, two staff really triumphed!  Mary Tom (Brisbane Campus) and Geoff Higgins (Rockhampton Campus) each won an iPad.  No doubt their iPads combined with the session Video Resources and Interactivity, Tablet PCs and their Advantages will inspire them to incorporate new digital educational technology into their courses!
