Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU Mackay hosts information evening for non-school leavers 

Non-school leavers of the Mackay region will have a chance (next Monday evening) to find out how they can access university study at CQU Mackay campus, during an information session on campus.

PhotoID:3229 CQU Undergraduate Admissions Officer Janet Palmer will be on hand to talk through the various pathways into university, and how non-school leavers can gain a place at CQU to start their university career.

The session for alternative entry pathways through Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) will commence at 6.30pm in building 20 G.11 at CQU Mackay Campus.

Information will be given about the various preparatory and assisted entry programs available at CQU Mackay.

Staff from the various faculties of CQU Mackay campus will also be on hand to answer any questions relevant to the different areas of study available.
