He birdied the first play-off hole to take the title home to Queensland.

This follows his success last year in September at Pelican Waters on the Sunshine Coast, when Neaton won the QLD Mid-Amateur Championship by 10 shots.

He now currently holds both the QLD & NSW titles.

Part of his prize for winning in NSW, is direct entry into November's NSW Open, a professional event with invites for 15 amateurs.

Last weekend, Neaton also successfully defended his 2010 Yeppoon Open title by winning it for a second year, after he scored a birdie on the first play-off hole.

Neaton is hoping now to secure more wins with a month of open championships around the State on his agenda.
