Flash mob to make an impact on death toll

Queensland Police flagged down 299 people to help raise the awareness of the growing death toll on Queensland roads this week.

The Flash Mob gathered at the CQUniversity Rockhampton baseball field in a performance art stunt that represented each person that has died on Queensland roads this year.

The 45-minute event highlighted the pointless loss of life and the need for road safety by all road users.

Queensland Police hoped that the visual representation of the 299 toll would have a lasting effect on road safety in our region.
