Minding the pees and curious about nursing

A group of Year 10s from Glenmore High got more than they bargained for when they attended a CQUniversity Experience session on Rockhampton Campus this week.

Dr Kerry Reid-Searl arrived in her 'grumpy old Cyril' mask - used for clinical simulations - and many students were confronted by the session.

"I want to pee ... check my blood pressure ... no not you .. her ... I want to pee," grumbles Cyril, during the presentation.

Once unmasked, Dr Reid-Searl told the visiting students about the value of nursing as a career and explained that CQUniversity's health simulation program is the only one of its type in Australia.

Glenmore High's 'experience' program involves the students coming on campus for presentations and activities, every Tuesday morning for a period of 10 weeks.
