The students are in Mackay for four weeks where their learning will take place both in and out of the classroom. The students study programme is designed to give them a chance to practice their English in a practical, everyday manner while also providing them with an opportunity to explore Mackay.

The students are housed with local families in a home stay environment, giving them further insight into life in Mackay.

Chair of EdMac and Head of CQU Mackay Campus Professor Phillip Clift, said “It is a wonderful opportunity for the region and it’s expected to be the first of many such visits from International students to Mackay”.
