Professors from South West Jiaotong University in China have visited Central Queensland University’s Centre for Railway Engineering to discuss collaborative research opportunities.
Professor Xuesong Jin and Professor Jing Zeng from the Chinese University met with CRE staff to establish a joint partnership agreement in railway mechanics and engineering research.
“The South West Jiaotong University has excellent testing facilities for railway research. Future cooperation between CRE and South West Jiaotong University will allow more sophisticated experiments to be conducted,” Director of CRE, Associate Professor Remadevi Dhanasekar said.
“The opportunity to combine the facilities of these 2 research bodies will benefit education and innovation in railway research”.
A Memorandum of Understanding between the 2 research bodies of the Centre for Railway Engineering and the Southwest Jiaotong University is currently being drafted.
