Top Students Get "Key" to Global Network

Central Queensland University’s top academic performers are receiving international recognition for their achievements at “key” ceremonies across CQU campuses.
The top 15 percent of undergraduate students have been invited to join the Golden Key International Honour Society, which rewards academic excellence.
About 300 of the 450 CQU students from the Rockhampton and Gladstone campuses who joined the society this year attended a member recognition ceremony at the Rockhampton Sports Centre at CQU’s North Rockhampton campus on Monday 20 May. Bundaberg students participated in events on the 17th of May.
Recognized for their academic success, they are all now eligible to apply for international scholarships.
Golden Key has links with about 350 universities around the world with more than 1500 CQU students invited to become members since CQU joined the society last year. Membership can boost career opportunities following graduation because about 150 corporations in Australia and Asia recognise Golden Key members. The Society also provides international networking opportunities with 600 organisations in the US and Canada associated with the program.
The next regional CQU membership ceremony will be held at CQU Mackay on June 28.
