Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Info session helps to demystify admission process

Mature-aged persons considering university study are encouraged to attend a QTAC Information Session at CQU.

Sessions will be held at Mackay on August 28, Gladstone on August 29, Bundaberg on August 30, Noosa Hub on August 31 and Rockhampton on September 5.

Sessions begin at 6.30pm and will conclude at 9pm.

The QTAC Information Session will help people understand QTAC’s assessment process. QTAC (Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre) is the body that determines the suitability of applicants for university programs.

If you have questions about how to apply to university or what to expect, this session will be a valuable stepping stone towards your university career.
