European agent visits Rockhampton

CQU International played host to the University’s European Counsellor Mary Liszka last week.

Ms Liszka was in Rockhampton to meet with CQU staff, discuss operational and marketing issues and outline details of a potential new cohort from Stockholm.

PhotoID:2976 Originally employed as CQU’s Northern Europe Program Counsellor in August 2003, Ms Liszka, who is based in Norway, has had the primary responsibility for recruitment from the Scandinavian market to Study Abroad, Exchange and full degree programs.

Recruitment activities have been based around agent servicing and relationship maintenance with the European Institutions with whom CQU has agreements.

Currently CQU has partnerships with Mid Sweden University (Sweden), Hessen Universities (Germany), Stavangar University (Norway) and INSEEC (France).

In January this year, Ms Liskza’s contract was renewed for a further 12 months. Her new role incorporates such tasks as building and maintaining relationships with existing CQU partner universities in Europe; promoting Study Abroad and full degree opportunities within these universities; and facilitating exchange programs for staff and students and the participation in promotional activities.

PhotoID:2977 Ms Liskza will also provide advice on additional university partnering which may benefit CQU’s globalisation strategies and provide advice on international market opportunities.

She will be a good resource to facilitate university to university projects in Europe.
