ICE WaRM partnership takes out award for excellence

Australia's International Centre of Excellence in Water Resources Management (ICE WaRM) has won the Australasian Association for Engineering Education Excellence award for Programmes that Enhance Learning in the sub-category of Educational partnerships and collaboration with other organisations...
The Centre, which CQUniversity is a key partner in, won the award for its innovative Master of Water Resources Management program which was launched last year.
Congratulations to the ICEWaRM team.The Masters program is the first of its kind in Australia to cover cutting-edge developments in water quality and treatment, irrigation, water infrastructure, catchment management, aquatic ecosystem management, groundwater hydrology, hydrogeology and public health
Masters program is offered through ICE WaRM's partners - the University of Adelaide, the University of South Australia, Flinders University, Deakin University and CQUniversity.
The program was awarded because of its distinctiveness, coherence and clarity of purpose; influence on student learning and student engagement; breadth of impact; and concern for equity and diversity.
ICE WaRM project coordinator Jackie Watts said the award is a reflection of the successful relationship between ICE WaRM and its academic, government and industry supporters.

ICE WaRM has helped create Australia's first water resources management master degree, graduate diploma and graduate certificate programs for local and international students.
