Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Postgrads keen to gauge interest in business and industry seminar 

The CQU Postgraduate Student Organisation is keen to gauge interest in a proposed business and industry seminar dubbed 'Ideas Release'.

A session for interested people will be held from 3pm on Thursday (July 29) at the Capricorn Lounge (light refreshments provided).

The seminar is proposed to be held on October 30 and November 1 this year to showcase postgraduate studies, research and Central Queensland University to business and industry from throughout the Central Queensland region.

The aim is improving research possibilities and employment opportunities for postgraduate students within the Central Queensland region.
