Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Gladstone brings research to the public 

CQUniversity Gladstone had a busy program of ResearchExpo events.

Gladstone's program included sessions entitled 'Meet the Researchers', 'What do you research?', 'Research displays and tours'; and a 'Three Minute Thesis' competition.

There were also parallel sessions on Engineering (Risk and reliability): Coastal Environment (Do issues of water quality in Central Queensland affect the coastal zone and the Great Barrier Reef?) and Health, Education, Community (Partnership to achieve our goals).PhotoID:8762, LINK here for larger images
