This is the life and times of Olympic Wrestler and Trade Union heavyweight Hughie Williams.

Hughie Williams is something of a sacred icon in Queensland trade union politics.

It is not a rags to riches story, but the story of a man who dragged himself out of grinding poverty and made it to the top of the trade union movement, always speaking up for what he believed in.

PhotoID:1638 It is a story of determination and never giving up.

In many ways, Hughie Williams personifies the legendary Aussie battler, for his life was certainly not meant to be easy.
