Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

A new magazine for Central Queenslanders 

Be, a new quarterly 36-page colour magazine for Central Queenslanders, debuts at the end of June.

The Winter edition of features CQUniversity marine and coral ecologists' work off the Capricorn Coast to save the Great Barrier Reef. Other stories are about the mining boom and environmental sustainability, the hidden epidemic of domestic violence in rural Australia and the staging of the Olympics.
