CQUniversity's Associate Professor Peter Reaburn recently handed over a cheque for $750 to the Sporting Wheelies association on behalf of the Bike 4 Life organising committee.

The inaugural Bike for Life event took place in August and was in support of the Amy Gillet Foundation and the Capricornia Sporting Wheelies, an organisation that is committed to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.

CQUniversity was a major supporter of this inclusive community sporting event that encourages participation from cyclists of all ages and abilities.

Planning for Bike for Life 2011 has already begun and it is hoped to attract an even bigger contingent of cyclists and bike riders than the 125 riders for this year's event.

CQUniversity Vice-Chancellor Scott Bowman has already committed to participating in the event next year.

The event will include a cross-section of events that range from 5km to 100km in distance.
