Triple J recruits our students

CQU Bachelor of Communication students Kim Lester and Chris Lynch have been recruited to join Triple J's J Division project.

PhotoID:727 Under the project, they will be trained to research and produce Central Queensland regional stories for national broadcast on Triple J. They are leaving this Sunday for three days of intensive training in Sydney.

Once the students are trained, their output will be supervised by Professor Alan Knight and Robert O'Sullivan from the School of Contemporary Communication (both of whom are former ABC journalists and program makers).

Mr O\'Sullivan said the students would have the chance to compile a portfolio of broadcast material.

PhotoID:728 "This provides a direct link between the CQU journalism program and mainstream national media," he said.
