Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Emerald hosts academic awards evening 

CQU Emerald students, special guests and staff experienced an enjoyable evening with the celebration of the annual Academic Awards Presentation on June 3.

Mr Ken Window, Registrar and Chief Compliance Officer, and Associate Professor John Rolfe, Faculty Business and Law, presented the students with their awards.

Emerald Campus Coordinator, Ms Pat Moran, spoke of the commitment of the students and how this reflects positively in the local community.
