CQU academic Dr Errol Vieth is the featured speaker at this month's Literary Latte session arranged by Rockhampton City Council.
Dr Vieth, from the School of Contemporary Communication, will discuss great Australian and New Zealand movies included in his recently-released Historical Dictionary of Australian and New Zealand Cinema, published internationally by Scarecrow Press.
City council Community Services Committee Chair Cr Rose Swadling said the dictionary included entries on many exceptional producers, writers, actors, directors, early pioneers, film companies and government bodies.
"The art of creating a dictionary will be explored, as well as many other areas relating to this area of specialist writing," Cr Swadling said.
The informal evening runs from 7pm on Thursday, March 30, at the northside library in Berserker Street, at a cost of $3 per person. Bookings are essential. Phone 4936 8265 or 4928 5800.
