Tell Me a Story; Everyone Has a Story to Tell

The CQU Foundation and the Golden Years Program is looking for stories about growing up in regional/rural Queensland to be included in Down Memory Lane, a booklet to be distributed at the Multicultural Fair on August 11th.

PhotoID:107 This year, CQU’s award winning Multicultural Fair will celebrate the ‘Year of the Outback’. In conjunction with this theme, Golden Years is very keen to gather ‘I remember when’ stories about you or your family, telling about things like – riding your horse to school; the daily chores you were expected to do; people who made an impact on you or your first brush with multiculturalism; what you did for entertainment; how you survived without tissues, television and Big Macs; your schooling, or anything else that you can think of likely to astound the current generation.

Anything from a few lines to a couple of pages will help to paint the picture of growing up in this region. Contact the Foundation at 4923 2509.
