Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Leadership program offered

Darryl Krook of CPEM Consulting Group will soon conduct a Leadership Skills Development Program for all Heads of School, Director and Manager level staff across the University. This leadership program is being provided to develop knowledge in management practices and processes, and the skills required for leadership across the University. The four day program will be conducted in Rockhampton 29th, 30th April, and 3rd, 4th June 2004. The cost of this program is $800 per person.
