School groups have flocked to recent CQU drama productions, including 'Snagged', 'X-Stacy' and 'Storybook Theatre'.
All have been produced by Howard Cassidy from the Faculty of Education & Creative Arts.
Snagged, a production aimed at convincing rural youth to return to the country after tasting city life, has played to packed houses in Clermont, Emerald and Middlemount.
'X-Stacy', which explores the rave scene and the dangers of drug-taking, played to six packed houses of school children and teachers in Rockhampton's Helene Jones Theatre. A public show was also staged. 'X-Stacy' is a Theatre-in-Education production.
Meanwhile, the CQU Theatre-in-Education Company's Storybook Theatre debuted in Rockhampton before touring to Capella, Clermont and Moranbah. The Storybook program included 'My Giant Dream', 'Nana's Song', and 'Made in China'.
Storybook Theatre and 'Snagged' were supported by the Priority Country Area Program (PCAP).
