Cardnell goes the clip for cancer cause

CQU's Dave Cardnell, Deputy Associate Dean (Learning & Teaching), Faculty of Sciences, Engineering & Health has signed up for the 'Clip for Cancer' program and is keen to get support from other staff and students.

Clip for Cancer in an event/activity that anyone, anywhere can do to raise money for cancer research.  As you are probably aware The Cancer Council Queensland receives no government funding.  Consequently, they rely solely upon the support and generosity of community-minded people to fund their vital cancer control programs.

All that participants need to do is shave/dry/cut/colour/grow their hair or beard, or that of a willing volunteer, and seek sponsorship from friends, family, business or colleagues for doing so.

The details about program can be viewed on http://www.cancerqld.org.au/.

Dave is having his hair coloured "GREEN" on Thursday, August 30, 2007.  To make a donation simply contact Dave on d.cardnell@cqu.edu.au or X9562.
