First Visit By Education Minister

Central Queensland University will today (Friday, April 4) welcome Federal Education Minister Brendan Nelson for the first time.

Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Kevin Fagg will be among University representatives welcoming the Federal Minister to CQU's 'Noosa Hub' at Pomona.

The 'Noosa Hub' is an innovative CQU-Education Queensland partnership involving initial teacher education and in-service programs.

Professor Fagg said he was keen to discuss and welcome Mr Nelson's stated support for regional universities since the outcomes of the Minister's higher education review are due for release soon.

Mr Nelson had planned to visit a CQU campus earlier, but had to postpone. ENDS Professor Fagg on 4930 9752 or 0418 799 863
