CQU Sydney International Campus marked the first day of the new term with the official opening of its brand-new, state-of-the-art library this month.
The library provides spacious facilities for more than 3000 postgraduate students and offers 4000 books as well as 5 private study rooms.
Among the bookshelves are a bountiful supply of couches and desks to encourage scholarly pursuit in comfort as well as 48 computer workstations. The library is also a full-service e-library offering students access to 70 databases.
The library is a centrepiece of the Sydney International Campus’ new postgraduate facility with SIC Campus Director, Barbara Abou-Lehaf noting “the library is the heart of any academic community so it is only fitting that we provide our students with a state-of-the-art library to match what is a truly impressive new postgraduate campus”.
The sentiment was echoed by students like Jigar Joshi (Master of Information Systems), saying “it looks great; we can really enjoy our study here”.
The postgraduate library is located on Level 3 of the SIC Postgraduate Campus at 400 Kent Street and is open 9.30am to 8pm Monday-Thursday, 9.30am to 6pm Friday and 11am to 3pm Saturday.
