Language Centre a stepping stone for newly-arrived Brazilians

CQU Rockhampton's Language Centre is providing special sponsored class arrangements to enable Brazilian meatworkers and their families to boost their English skills.
There has been a surge in Rockhampton's Brazilian community in recent years and the Language Centre is doing its best to ensure they are able to settle into the local community.
Former Brazilian resident Marcia Wenman is conducting the classes which sometimes combine learning with fun, including listening to English pop songs and following the lyrics on paper.
