Published on 08 March, 2010
Every year the CQUniversity - Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM) concert series is kick-started with a magnificent performance by Judith Brown playing the renowned Stuart and Sons grand piano, and 2010 will be no different.
This Wednesday (March 10) from 6pm Judith will be sharing her love of music with fellow musicians and fans and is looking forward to presenting her free concert performance - Rhythm in Music.
She will showcase rhythm in time, rhythm out of time, rhythm in multiple time, rhythm in dance time and so on.
Mackay audiences will once again hear the magnificent sounds of the Stuart and Sons grand piano as Judith is joined on stage by CQCM lecturer and founding member of the Ten Tenors Kim Kirkman, CQCM lecturer and former international opera singer Garrick Jones and CQCM Bachelor of Theatre students, with special appearances by third-year students Sean Perez and Katelyn Ryan.
Now in its 9th year, the Judith, Stuart and Friends series will also be showcased throughout the CQCM concert series on April 21, July 14 and September 1. All Judith, Stuart and Friends performances are free and tickets are available at the door on a first-come, first-served basis.
