Published on 06 December, 2007
Tax Help was up and running at Melbourne campus from July through to September this year. Students welcomed this program which assisted them in lodging their Income Tax Assessments for 2007 free of charge.
MIC students Navjot Pannu Singh and Richard De Silva were selected and trained by an ATO Officer to certify for this program.
Students where awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for their efforts with the Tax Help Program during an official function at the Telstra Building on Exhibition Street Melbourne.
This is the third year the TECC (Training, Employment and Career Coaching) office has participated in the program and the demand from accounting students at the MIC campus to take part was very high. Those selected needed to be final-year students with a pass in Taxation Law.
