Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Students learn how to get credit for overseas study 

CQUniversity Rockhampton has hosted an 'international exchange fair' to show students how they can travel overseas, while still gaining credit towards their degree.

Representatives from universities in France, Sweden and the USA attended in person on Thursday, March 19. There was also plenty of information available about exchange-friendly universities in other countries.

CQUniversity representative Terry Lollback said participants could find out about exchange scholarships and other government funding options.

Information will continue to be available in Building 18 until 3.30pm.
