A Memorandum of Understanding signifying the strong research relationship between QR (Queensland Rail) and Central Queensland University’s Centre for Railway Engineering has been signed in Rockhampton.
Mr Brian Bock, QR General Manager of Shared Services, and Professor Elizabeth Taylor, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering & Health at CQU, signed the agreement to continue the already strong research collaboration that exists between QR and the Centre for Railway Engineering.
The Memorandum of Understanding will greatly enhance the CQU/Centre for Railway Engineering research profile.
“The agreement will provide a catalyst for increased visits and seminars from rail industry experts to Central Queensland University and provides excellent research opportunities for both the Centre of Railway Engineering and Queensland Rail,” Professor Elizabeth Taylor said.
The Centre for Railway Engineering was also added to the rollingstock consultancy service provider panel for QR for the next 3 years.
