Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU Foundation to tour Shoalwater Bay

The CQU Foundation is once again taking two tour groups to the Australian Army facility at Shoalwater Bay Training Area on Tuesday 17 June.

PhotoID:784 According to CQU Foundation Program Coordinator Glenys Kirkwood one bus has already been filled with those who missed out last year.

She said this was the first time they had advertised the tours to the public and expected it would generate huge interest.

Final costs are not yet known but it is expected to be around $25 to $30 per person, which will include morning tea and lunch.
