Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Schools to clash at debate

Members of the public are invited to the High Schools’ Debate Clash at Central Queensland University’s Rockhampton Campus, Building 32, room G.18, on Wednesday 14 August, 2002.

Eight teams from local high schools will compete for the championship at the inaugural debating competition. A free supper will be provided following the competition.

The topic is: That Aesthetics and Engineering are Poles Apart.
