Central Highlands residents encouraged to have their say
Published on 06 December, 2010
Residents of the Central Highlands Regional Council (CHRC) area will be asked to share their opinions on issues affecting their community into the future when CQUniversity conducts a telephone survey targeting randomly selected households in the area this month.
CHRC Mayor Peter Maguire explains the importance of the survey, saying "Council is committed to conducting these community surveys on a regular basis. The findings of the survey will provide us with knowledge that can be used to facilitate genuine positive outcomes for our community and help the Council to better understand the needs and wishes of people in our region".
CQUniversity's Population Research Laboratory has been commissioned by the Central Highlands Regional Council to conduct the survey.
Population Research Laboratory Manager, Christine Hanley adds, "Participation by residents who are randomly selected to take part in the survey is highly important in ensuring that the results of the survey represent the views of the wider community. The survey is a great way for people to get involved and ensure that the issues which they believe are important are given a voice".
The survey will be conducted by CQUniversity's Population Research Laboratory in early December 2010.
