'Future of electronic health' event open to CQ audiences

CQ residents are welcome to attend an update on the future of electronic health – a world where doctors can compare notes with colleagues around the globe while nurses are alerted by radio if a stroke victim falls over nearby.

They can hear from Dr Anthony Maeder, Research Director at Brisbane’s e-Health Research Centre, during a seminar from 2pm-3pm on Wednesday, April 20.

The presentation will describe software enabling access to diverse health databases while preserving privacy and devices which can monitor post-stroke rehabilitation patients. It will also describe the directions of the e-Health Research Centre.

The free seminar will be hosted at CQU Rockhampton and is viewable live via videoconference rooms at CQU’s Mackay, Gladstone, Emerald and Bundaberg campuses. It will be held at Rockhampton (29/G.05) with videoconference connections to Mackay (6/G.03), Bundaberg (1/G.27), Gladstone (601/ 1.09) and Emerald (Robertson House Rm.05).
