The QCWA (Queensland Country Women's Association) award follows her success last year in gaining an Equity Computer Award from CQU's Equity and Diversity Office.

Sonia's QCWA success is based on her academic performance during her first year of study, along with a statement/resume and references.

Emerald Campus coordinator Gai Sypher congratulated Sonia and thanked the QCWA for its continued support for CQU and also rural communities in general.
