Queensland Health Young Achiever of the Year

CQU graduate Grant Challen has been awarded Queensland Health Young Achiever of the Year for his work on stem cell research. A current PhD student at UQ, Challen is researching treatments of kidney diseases that would not require dialysis or transplants. The former Dalma resident told “The Morning Bulletin” that coming from a regional area had not prevented him from furthering his education. He also told the Rockhampton-based newspaper that his goal was to establish a bio-technology company.
