Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Look out music lovers, it's another Big Night In! 

CQUniversity jazz and popular music ensembles are about to perform their Big Night In II, from 7.30pm on Friday, August 5, in the Helene Jones Room (building 5) on Rockhampton Campus.

This event will also feature professional saxophonist, flutist and composer Graham Jesse, whose career as a major contributor to Australian music spans more than 30 years.

There's no need to book as tickets can be purchased at the door. Adults $12; Concession $8; Children $5.
