Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQUni still ahead of national salary trends 

CQUniversity remains ahead of national salary trends, according to the latest figures from Graduate Careers Australia.

GCA says the median annual starting salary for bachelor degree graduates increased by $3000 between 2008 and 2009, growing from $45,000 to $48,000.

Meanwhile, CQUniversity's comparable median annual starting salary is $50,000.

The figures are based on recently-released findings from the Australian Graduate Survey.
