One stop for physical activity

The Physical Activity Expo at this weekend's CQU Multicultural Fair and Open Day will be a one stop shop for demonstrations, participation opportunities and information about physically active recreation.

PhotoID:3305 Sport and Recreation Queensland in conjunction with partners including Queensland Health, Rockhampton City Council, 10,000 Steps, Active After School Communities, Sporting Wheelies and 60's and Better are increasing physical activity opportunities leading to a better quality of life for the Rockhampton community.

Come to site 133 outside Building 19 for your chance to test your throwing arm in the Kanga Kage.

There are also opportunities through the day for people of all ages from tots to grandma and grandad to have a go at activities such as boccia, tai chi and sitting dance and a range of children's activities incorporating fundamental movement skills.

The display will provide lots of useful information on a wide range of free and low cost activities in and around Rockhampton that you and your family can become involved in. For example, come and learn more about the program of free activities which Rockhampton City Council will be offering in local parks in September.
