Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Brisbane graduates hear from leading community development specialist  

Twenty-six nationalities were represented when 201 graduates attended CQUniversity's ceremony in Brisbane this week (Dec 13) at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on South Bank.

Graduates attending came from diverse backgrounds, ranging from Australia to Asia, the Middle East and Europe. There were also two guests representing the UAE Embassy and Military Attaché.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Scott Bowman and Acting Chancellor Charles Ware officiated the ceremony and Master of Professional Accounting graduate Ashish Rajeshkumar Shah delivered a closing address on behalf of graduates.
