Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Computers shutdown for power supply alterations

CQU will undertake a shutdown on Saturday which will affect all University IT services.

A complete shutdown of the computer room in building 19 at CQU Rockhampton is required this Saturday, 18 January, from about 7am to midday.

The shutdown is required to undertake alterations in the UPS (Uniterrupted Power Supply) room for the installation of the second UPS, which is planned to commence next week.

A second shutdown will be required in the next couple of weeks to finalise the upgrade of power cicuits in the computer room in building 19. The date and times for the second shutdown will be advised as soon as possible.
