Student Contact Centre a busy hub CQUniversity's newly-renovated Student Contact Centre was officially opened earlier this month, providing students with a one-stop full-service location for all of their admission and enquiries.  The suite, located on the ground floor of Rockhampton's Arthur Appleton Building (Building 5), accommodates more than a dozen staff who respond to over 500 inquiries daily from phone, email, web and walk-in customers, including community members considering enrolling at CQUniversity.

Diwali celebrations in Melbourne Melbourne's inner west came to life recently as celebrations for the Indian festival ‘Diwali' filled Footscray and the Whitten Oval, home of the AFL's Western Bulldogs.  The event ‘Diwali in the West' was organised by Marsha Thompson, Victoria's Minister for Information and Communications Technology, in an effort to strengthen solidarity in the community.

CQUni Pathways facilitator supports Tannum initiatives CQUniversity Pathways facilitator Richard Ward is supporting initiatives by Tannum High's Business and Information Technology Skills (BITS) Centre of Excellence. This is a campus based at Boyne Smelters, developed to increase the range of educational opportunities available for students interested in Business and/or IT, by offering school-based traineeships and other forms of learning in a real workplace environment.

Community TV benefits for regions 'not recognised' Existing Community Television stations in Australia exclusively serve the populations living in the State capitals. There are groups based in regional centres eager to establish such services; Central Queensland has one such group.
