Bunker opening the final launch for retiring DVC

Deputy Vice Chancellor (Resources) Professor Kevin Fagg has opened his last building at Central Queensland University.

PhotoID:1397Professor Fagg, who will officially retire on July 7, said the building, known as 'the bunker' rectified a weakness in the IT infrastructure at CQU.

"The building is a back up to the Graeme Rollinson IT facility and will reduce the risk of loss to the CQU computing infrastructure," Professor Fagg said.

Director of Facilities Management, Phil Hancock said that Professor Fagg had pushed this project very hard because of the perceived weakness. He said the building was completed on time and under budget.
