Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Big Sunday of Under 8s events in Rockhampton 

Under 8s Week events in Rockhampton this Sunday will help children have fun with photography, music and art.

Four events have been coordinated by Bachelor of Learning Management (Early Childhood) students of Central Queensland University.

A children's festival of music called 'Jazzin & Jammin' will be held from 10am-3pm on Sunday, May 23, at the CQU Early Childhood building in Quay Street. Children can take part in art activities with professional artists during workshops from 10am-11am and from noon-1pm on Sunday, May 23. There is a $5 fee and bookings are essential.
