Cryle on Late Night Live

Audio from the program is available via: http://www.abc.net.au/rn/talks/lnl/ .

The program was a discussion about the history and culture of Australian media, and its relationship with the Australian government, and the public.

Dr Cryle was interviewed in tandem with Jean Hillier, his co-editor of a new book called 'Consent and Consensus: Politics, Media and Governance in Twentieth Century Australia'.

PhotoID:2082 The program asked: 'Where is the space for community dissent around popular issues such as managing the environment or going to war, when those issues are often promoted - through Government rhetoric, and through many channels of the media - as already having reached a national consensus?'.
